Minecraft Client Comparisons
Side-by-side comparisons using only verifiable data: supported Minecraft versions, loader requirements, license model, module counts, and last update dates. No arbitrary scoring.
How these comparisons work
Every comparison uses the same factual criteria: supported Minecraft versions, loader and platform, license and pricing, update cadence, module coverage, and status label. There is no single "winner" — different clients fit different needs. Data comes from official repositories and release notes. Each comparison links back to the underlying client pages.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't you score clients from 1 to 10?
Scores require subjective weighting. One user values update speed, another values legacy version support, another values addon ecosystem. A single score hides these trade-offs. We present factual criteria and let you decide.
Which client is the most popular?
Popularity is hard to measure accurately. GitHub stars give a rough signal: LiquidBounce and Meteor have the largest public repositories among actively maintained clients. Wurst has the longest continuous history. We avoid ranking by popularity because download numbers are rarely published.
Are paid clients worth it?
Depends on what you need. Paid clients often provide faster version updates, dedicated bypasses for specific servers, and priority support. Free clients like Wurst, Meteor, and LiquidBounce are actively maintained and cover most use cases. The trade-off is between cost and the specific features paid clients offer.
How often are comparison pages updated?
Comparisons are reviewed monthly, or immediately when a major client update changes the underlying data. The client pages themselves are updated weekly with status and version changes.
Can you compare clients I do not see listed?
We add comparisons when there is sufficient verified data for both clients. Suggest a comparison through the contact page. Comparisons are only added when factual criteria can be sourced.
